For a well-founded assessment of your hearing, comprehensive audiometry in our company is essential. A hearing test is a rough screening procedure, which can give clear indications of the presence of hearing loss, but is not sufficient as a basis for a comprehensive consultation and the implementation of a hearing aid fitting.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This is about your tone hearing. It’s about hearing – not understanding.<\/p>\n

Duration approx. 30 minutes<\/p>\n

The most accurate results can be obtained if you verbally signal the corresponding threshold with a “stop”, not if you have to press buttons, because vocal cords and mouth respond faster than the more distant hand or fingers – a question of the transmission of stimuli via the nervous system.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With the help of a tone audiometer and usually a headset, we determine your hearing loss, i.e. at what sound level you personally begin to hear sounds for the first time.
For this purpose, we use continuous sine tones or plused tones – if you have tinnitus and therefore cannot distinguish the continuous sine tone from your tinnitus or not with certainty.
We usually determine the hearing threshold in 7 – 9 frequencies between 125 and 8000 Hz.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With sinusoidal tones, we determine at what sound level it becomes uncomfortable for you to hear loudly.

We present you polysyllabic language (2-digit numbers, e.g. acht-und-drei-zig, neun-und-zwan-zig, …), which you have to repeat in the best possible way. You will be presented with 1-2 groups of 10 numbers each.
The result indicates how much the sound level must be higher so that you can understand the same 50% of polysyllabic speech as normal hearing.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
